2nd GRADE

• Non-fiction text features (headings, captions, subheadings, glossaries, indexes, images)
3rd GRADE
• Prefixes/Suffixes
• Use text evidence to ask and answer questions
• Retell stories using key details in a text
• Summarize central ideas and important details
• Distinguishing their own point of view
4th GRADE
• Talk about the theme
• Character development - Guiding questions
• Plot development - Conflict/resolution
• Draw inferences
