Dear Parent/Guardian, 

Your child has been invited to participate in the Whiz Kids Tutoring Program. This semester, the program will take place virtually, using Zoom. Below is important information you’ll need to know:
 

• We plan to start the program the week of October 5th (on the day your site meets).

• Your home will need access to the internet and a computer, laptop, ipad or other device (a smart phone will also work)

• Students and tutors will meet in a group Zoom call on the same day and time each week.

• Tutoring will take place in a monitored virtual breakout room for 40 minutes.

• Club Time (the faith portion of our program) will take place right after tutoring.

• The week before tutoring begins you will receive a link to the Zoom meeting.

• Someone in your home may need to help your child log on.

• If you have multiple students who are enrolled in Whiz Kids they will need different devices in order to log on to the call. They should also be in a separate room in your home.

Our hope is that second semester we will meet face-to-face. For now, we believe your child will benefit from getting extra help with reading, math and homework while connecting with a caring volunteer.
